COURSE OUTCOMES

Successful participants will be able to supervise employees undertaking work in a confined space. They will have the knowledge and skills to identify hazards, assess risks, implement risk treatments, complete the required records, and receive and authorise confined space entry permits.

Specific topics include:

  • Legislative requirements for confined space working, and risk management particularly AS4360
  • Identification of confined spaces
  • Hazard identification and risk assessment
  • Hazard control measures
  • Permits and related documentation
  • Monitoring compliance with permits

ON-SITE DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS

Participants must wear site approved work wear and PPE. For delivery at a client site
the following must be provided to meet the outcomes of the course:

  • Suitable classroom
  • Site procedures and documentation for confined space working
  • Actual or simulated confined spaces with a minimum of three different types of entry
